Annual Holiday Vans
Looking for a home away from home?
If you’re on the lookout for a home away from home then an annual holiday van could be for you. We have a mixture of both tourist and annual sites. Tourist sites are often used for towable caravans, tents and camper trailers, whilst our annual sites are used for leaving your van on site all year. Just pay a set fee and reserve your spot for 12 months and visit as often as you like, up to a max. of 100 nights per year.
- Compare your holiday budget against our annual fees: If you take your family on regular holidays each year you may be surprised that you are already covering the annual fees for a holiday van at Motutere Bay TOP 10 Holiday Park. Having an annual van on site will give you more nights at the park for the same amount you are paying each year when you holiday elsewhere. This is even more true if you holiday in cabins and villas rather than camping.
- Stay for up to 100 nights per year Have you recently discovered you can work remotely? Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and work from your van for a few weeks. Enjoy views of the lake while punching the clock from your private deck. Your fees include 100 nights per year for the first six people. You can holiday for 49 nights in any consecutive stay.
- Share your van with family & friends: You decide who stays in your van and when. If you don’t think you’ll use 100 nights in a year you can split the annual fee with a family member, or friend, and share the use of the van. Unlike most other parks, we do not limit nominated users.
- No need to pack: How nice would it be to leave work on a Friday and decide that you’re going to the lake for the weekend? You don’t have to book anything or pack anything. The basics are already in your van, simply jump in the car and go.
- No room to store your van at home? Why waste money paying to store your van somewhere you can’t use it. Store your van onsite at Motutere Bay and use it as a weekend getaway.
- Utilities included in fees: Power and water are included in your fees. We will even mow and weed-eat your site for you
- Free Wi-fi: Free unlimited wi-fi access

How to become an annual holiday van owner?
Thank you for your interest in placing a caravan on one of our annual sites. Please find attached the annual site licence which outlines the pricing, terms and conditions for your annual site.
In addition to this agreement, please find below a list of everything that you will need to provide before bringing your van onsite.
For all enquiries regarding your application, please contact the park owners via email info@laketaupotop10.co.nz.
Application:
- Signed Annual Site Licence (Agreement) with payment option selected.
- Completed Monthly/Quarterly Credit Card Authorisation Form (if applicable).
- Copy of Electrical Warrant of Fitness
- Site plan including all measurements of van and awning, plus distance from boundary and neighbouring structures. There needs to be at least 1.5m between any structure and your site boundary (including the road) and at least 3m between your structure and the nearest structure. The diagram will also need to show where you plan to park your car and boat (if applicable). These need to also fit within the site boundary, and cannot encroach onto any road or access way.
Once approved (before arrival):
- Payment of $500 administration fee.
- Payment of first period.
On arrival:
- Provide spare caravan key to park management/reception.

All vans are sold privately by the owners of the van and the park is not involved with the sale process. The sale is pursuant to the acceptance of the Park’s annual agreement terms & conditions. All prospective buyers must meet with park managers prior to considering accepting any sale agreement and the park manager must agree to accept the prospective purchaser as a customer of the Holiday Park.

Why become an annual holiday van owner
- Don't pay higher rates on school holidays or over long weekends. If you struggle to entertain the kids in school holidays but are conscious of how expensive a holiday away during peak season can be, bring them to Motutere Bay. During the holidays we have kids activities, competitions, inflatables and, of course, the lake for water play.
- We are located close to major cities. We're just under a 4-hour drive from Auckland and just over a 4-hour drive from Wellington.
- Visit us in winter for the snow season If you're a winter bunny then Mount Reapahu is a 1-hour drive from the park. Store your gear in the van and use it as your home base for the ski season.
- Visit us in summer for the fishing Are you a keen fisherman? Use Motutere Bay as your base for regular weekend fishing trips. You can even store your boat in our secure boat parking so you wouldn’t need to tow it for every visit (extra fees apply).
- Local National Parks We are located in an area that brings you very close to excellent walking and hiking tracks of all lengths and levels of difficulty... from pleasant lakefront to riverside strolls.
- Be up-to-date on special events. You'll be the first to know about park events and competitions such as the Annual Fishing Competition, Annual Site Improvement Comps and special events.
